Shhh.... don't tell anyone but Pola and I are working on doing long exposure light painting as the new finale of our 50 minute Art of Juggling theatre show for next year. We combine an DSLR with a laptop with a projector and screen, then re-imagine scenes from the rest of our show. We use LED lamps to draw figures and set, then juggle/position glow props to make the action authentic. I'll email some test photos when I get home in August.
