I know this video is long but if you just hang in there and be patient it will pay off with some very interesting  contemporary movements on and around a walking globe, as well as on the ground involving three balls.

New MoM Contributor: Kyle Johnson

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Kyle Johnson can roll a ball from his foot to his head like nobody’s business. He has a great eye for juggling and manipulation videos too, and so he is joining our crew here at M.o.M. and will be contributing videos alongside myself, Drew, Ed, Moon and MCP.

Kyle can also hold 9 balls up for an impressively long time… which makes us all feel a little insecure.

Welcome Kyle! glad you could join us!

Wes Peden, Patrik Elmnert & Ron Beeri – Wine Bottle

Friday, December 4th, 2009

So, Wes Peden has emailed me a few times in the past telling me about videos that he thinks would make nice additions on MoM. And everytime he emails me, I try to contain my ridiculous fan-boy enthusiasm, usually responding with “ya that’s cool wes. I’ll think about posting it later. Gotta run; lunch is ready” before running off to do a little “OMG-OMG-Wes-Peden-emailed-ME!” dance and gushing to all my friends about how awesome Wes Peden is and how he  makes the best new juggling videos.

But this time he caught me off guard. I watched the video first, and then saw the email from him suggesting i blog it. In my excitement, I wrote back to him and said a lot of very nice things. So there you go; now he knows that we are huge fans and will pretty much post anything he tells us to. I declare Wes Peden, Patrik Elmnert & Ron Beeri to be the coolest jugglers in the world (for the day, at least).

Lewie West, and I hope he used his real name there, contains a nugget of purest awesome. He tours with CIRCA and is part of the CIRCA ensemble and here in this video, he is training in the CIRCA space in Brisbane.

In this and his other videos, which you should also definately check out because they all contain extremely high levels of awesome and epic combined, he is doing a mixture of gymnastics, tricking, breakdance and floorwork which is both graceful and (at least to me) extremely creative.

Another video of heaps awesomeness: YouTube again.

I hope to get to meet him at the CIRCA space soon. I’m going to totally be unable to talk to him.

Thanks to Mark P for the link…

1-upping Ed’s post from a few days ago. File under top-of-the-head-balance/obsession. This stuff is nuts. He jumps a bench, and skates in a bowl with a solid balance the whole time. Cheers to Ricardo for the link.
Btw; facebook has a group page for people with top-of-the-head-balance/obsession (Link: Adictos Bola en la Cabeza (Ball on the Head)

Emiliano Alessi has made a video clearly showing off his beautiful combination of juggling and dance. Great shapes and he still has a keen sense of manipulation and how to make it interesting. I love it lots.
