Five and a half years after starting MoM, we have; 1 book, 2 weddings, several MoM workshops, and over 1 000 000 unique visitors (according to our stats counter).
And this is MoM’s 1000th blog post.

Lewie West shows that there is still lots left to be done with the human body. In particular with his body. He can do some kinda crazy full twist gainer dive forwards roll…. It’s super sweet, as is the rest of the video. I am in awe of the straightness of his legs during his ‘trickz’.
I like how each video has its own vocabulary of new movements he’s researching. A constant inspiration to us all to keep creating and innovating. WIN.
You could get hurt trying this! Do not try at home… unless you want to be awesome.
They’re doing it on the streets too! –> here
Seems like nowadays all my inspiration comes from dance and acrobatic videos… and whatever Wes Peden posts…
Lewie West made a new video:

Seems like everytime he posts a new video, I’ll have to blog it. Sweet.
Ronan showed me a very old video of an amazing dancer and he just popped back onto the internet with a new collaboration video:
And the video that Ronan showed me which is still amazing: YouTube Link And thou the above video may contain some weirdness, this one contains pretty much just awesomeness and a lot of titles.
Finally, a man blogged on this blog before, Olivier Mathieu and his friend:Thierno Thioune. Doing some dance that even Ryan will think is amazing:

Going off to dance now…

What contempory circus would be if you had a dream of it and your dreams were extremely creative.
But wait, there’s going to be more: “James Thiérrée’s fourth full-length creation, Raoul (a theatre piece blending contemporary circus, movement, music and poetry) was co-commissioned by the Barbican Centre and will make its debut in London in October 2009.”
Damn you londoners.
Oh yeah, I have to not make jokes about big balls. Ok, so this is a girl doing three of those large gym balls, the squishy ones, that you supposedly use to build up your core strength, but you actually just roll around on. This I assume Russian Ukrainian, has made a whole act out of rolling around on them, in a graceful way. There’s also some ball spinning, behind the head rolls, antipodism, and acrobatics with the big balls.
It’s always nice to see new props being used with innovative manipulation.
Incredibly graceful, incredibly strong, actually really beautiful Aerial Straps from the ‘World Champion’ Straps artist, Igor Zaripov. I love watching this… you see something you’ve seen done before on straps, and then you blink and realise he is doing it the hard way, slowly and gracefully. Beautiful. Well done that man.
I just watched this DVD a 2 days ago and there is still a party in my head from it! there is super sick juggling in it with Erik doing a ring routine with a new technique that no one else in the work is using and genius/badass routines from Jay including the manipulation routine using 3 clubs with giant holes cut out through the centers!!!!…!!! think about how awesome that manipulation can be… it’s ever better than you’re thinking!!
i would like to write out every beautiful thing in the DVD but i want to leave some surprise. but uhhh… drills and spinning balls… ??? think about it think about it….
anyway i thought it was awesome and it has what i consider some really great ground breaking manipulation in it so i thought i would let you guys know about it.
here is what it says in the youtube info next to the trailers.
