Nick Laffey has a wonderful obsession with trying to eliminate all throws from his club juggling patterns and replacing them all with balances and clever manipulations. I think it is great.
Super nice and very interesting video project by Illador Films, from Sardinia.

“After 4 years of teaching experience as a professor at the Academy Fratellini referent, Denis Paumier adventure continues with its alumni. This project brings together five young jugglers around the tradition of juggling and juggling new avenues of language.

Water on Mars is a compilation sequence by jugglers Tony Pezzo, Patrik Elmnert, and Wes Peden. The video presents routines, patterns, and tricks the 3 have been developing for the past 3 years. The project was motivated by good tricks, good angles, and the possibilities for prop transitions when you have extremely competent assistants. The video contains 81 new patterns, the 5 club diamond lock, an upside down albert triplex, an 11 club pirouette, the best 5 ring routine alive, and synchronized 7 clubs.

This is Lucas Aguirre, a young juggler from the USA with vicious club juggling. His sequences are full of cause and effect where an arm shoots up to catch a club and sets free the club that was previously trapped under his arms and so on. This makes the juggling very fast, dense, and brain stretching to watch. He’s economical with his throws and lavish with how many tricks he uses. Every throws and catch is take full advantage of. I appreciate his bravery at throwing big body moves after each other and sweating so we can have these crazy moments to watch!
Teku has filmed and edited 12 minutes of footage of JJF which will make you wish you were there.

“I’ve made plenty of videos up until now but I felt like creating something more substantial for a change. The idea came several months ago during a very low point at my job, so I used all that pent up energy and frustration and decided to create some new ideas and see if I could take contact juggling somewhere that maybe hasn’t been explored before. Theres plenty more to be done but this is a first step towards where I would like to be with my juggling in the future.” (Teku)
We think this is a big inspirational gift for the contact juggling community. BIG UP for you Darren, really!
