Another one of Bram’s Video Challenge videos. This is pretty much like one of the best juggling videos I have ever seen. There I said it. He could have not done any juggling in this and it would have been equally as awesome.

Abbas Farid is a British Football Freestyler who’s won competitions and awards and that sort of thing, check out his website here: Abbasfarid.com for lots of info about that.

He does ace body rolling obviously, and integrates foot juggling, acrobatics and some amazing ball control that I’ve never seen before. He’s a bit good in other words. :D

You know, Me and Drew were saying there weren’t any good videos coming out, and then like three come along at once… Time to eat our words.

This one is totes spesh. Shot by some guy with a sweet camera and edited by none other than Ori Roth. It’s exactly what you want out of a juggling video, a sweet cameraman with a good eye and then a juggler to edit it, since he knows all about the jugglings.

Featuring everyone you ever wanted to see doing club manipulation (Jordaan, Sander, Lestage (The juggler from Psy)) and then some ball juggling. Ball juggling by the likes of Stefan Sing (!). There is so much win on this video that the word win doesn’t contain enough win to describe it.

Directed and shot by Ben Hopper http://THEREALBenHopper Edited by Ori Roth http://www.youtube.com/Aiyegbeni

I totally schedules this for later, so if it gets posted up by someone else before. Not my problems. I was totes first.

Contactjuggling.org Collaboration Video 2011

Here it is, our 2011 collaboration video.
Contact Juggling, an ancient art recently codified and popularized by Michael Moschen, is as indefinable as it is magical. Rather than try to describe it, the community of ContactJuggling.org began this project to show you how each of us sees Contact Juggling. Whether dance, juggling, mime, or magic (or perhaps all four or none at all), this video showcases years of hard work by artists across four continents, each bound together by a common interest but all unique in their study.

Edited by Riel Green, Bri Maneely & Sennyo of Aether Arts (aether-arts.com)

Video by ContactJuggling.org and contact jugglers around the world!

Workshop: Manc UnitEd – [/There is no Crew]

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

New Dimensional Movement and Manipulation.

Same plans as Edinburgh, really, just a bit more central/south.

Preliminary Infos, Subject to change:

When: 23-24 July 2011

4 x 2hour workshops.

Workshop 1 = Posture, body awareness, efficiency in movement, analysing movement, Balance.
Workshop 2 = Speed Control
Workshop 3 = Waves
Workshop 4 = Illusion disguised as Contact Juggling. Warp Drive Installation session.

Individual Workshop cost: £12
All 8 Hours Workshop cost: £40

Numbers limited to 20? Subject to change.

Venue: Antwerp Mansion, Manchester, UK

Booking Info: Email, Face, carrier pigeon, make it be known :)

What I will be teaching:

1 = The base code. Re-introducing people to themselves, how they move, and how to use it to our advantage. Your body is a prop too.
2 = How to stop, move slow, and move faster.
3 = Waves are more than just a dance. They go pretty deep too. I’ll help you understand them better.
4 = Illusion style Contact juggling. How to hold any prop, and make it look interesting. How to keep things still, move around things, and move things. Mind over matter.

Time to wake up and see what’s really going on! These techniques translate very easily to other areas of manipulation and performance. It’s no longer about what the ball is doing, it’s about what you are doing. no matter what prop you use, you’re there… I’ll install your Warp Drive, and make sure it’s functioning correctly. You won’t see things the same way again.

There is no Crew, and the UK is UnitEd!
