I’m still amazed by his general flow and complexity of rythm.
His entire solo from Detours is available on MoMTV

YouTube - Kenichi Ebina: Hip-hop dance and a little magic
A really nice routine here. The popping and locking is tight, and the use of the D’lites hasn’t piled on the cheese. And did I mention the handstands yet?
I’ve been looking for a popping video to put up here for a while…
The first half of this clip is Rubber legs Al Norman dancing to Paul Whiteman’s band. The clip is from The King of Jazz.
Amazing.
I think the Detours video project would have filed that one under “manifesting sh1t at a different time.”

I am not part of a community, I have always practised alone, never in a school or circus, the only school I have attended is that of travel, and the street.
For me, Contact is an expression that comes from inside. Many people nowadays practice contact, but I have seen few that do not copy or imitate somebody they have seen, I feel that this perfect form of juggling should develop from one’s own body’s movements, from within.
the Best that I have ever seen is probably a German that I met at EJC in Carvin, but I’m sorry I can’t remember his name or contact details. He impressed me with his martial form of practice and he had worked balancing up to nine balls… A monster! [Ed: We think Kelvin {edit}]
The future of Contact is in The Change. I believe it is to mutate, transform and twist it until it is very personal, almost a completely different discipline.
In the videos on youtube, I am representing the role of an old Indian Man, that when he has reached the end of his function in this life, abandons all things material and begins upon a journey to find Death. In this way, when I perform this act, it conjures up images, scents, and memories of people of this magical place…
Thanks again [to the Ministry] for giving me the encouragement, by appreciating my work, to continue working. It pleases me to know that people enjoy that which one has given a lot of energy, and respect for the work that we do because I believe that it is a powerful weapon to open the hearts of the world.
Hoop diving, Acrobatics, Equilibristics, Armchair Manipulation, Chinese Pole, Roue Cyr… this group does it all.
Thanks PK for the video ![]()
Inspirational!
The Ministry have got 2 more RG compilation web-videos to edit, but in the meantime check these foot manipulations with hoop, clubs, ribbon and ball.

Phwooooar!
It’s Lindy hop, in a smooth style, a very smooth style. Looks like it’s improv, not a routine.
Andrew Sutton’s website smoothsavoy
I’ve got a funny video of Andrew dancing in the hangar, at 7am to “Ride of the Valkeries” with a hula hoop and a hottie after an all night blues party. Later than day we nearly got thrown off the London underground for bad behaviour - apparently, no matter how good the busker is, dancing is not permitted on the tube.
My favorite Japanese robot contact juggling busker steps up to a corporate level, and busts out his funky techno juggle-dancing with extra added coolness.
If juggler-illusionist Michael Moschen, Hip Hop pioneer Mr Wiggles and superfly Rhythmic Gymnast Charlene Edwards were to battle it out, live on one stage, who would win?*
That we don’t know. But we do know that Ann Marie DeAngelo put them and others on stage in The Variety Show at Annenberg Center, Philadelphia in 2001.
Compulsory viewing but there are bits in this clip that you’ll probably want to fast forward. Sorry about the audio!
*After seeing her Bodyrolling and ribbon, my money was on Edwards…. Until Moschen busted out with the hoops - the original and still the best, no one can isolate a hoop like Moschen. But wait, what’s that Wiggles waving through Moschens ring…OMG, OK you decide.

Do watch:
jtv - From the Old School Jugglers DVD. Recorded from German TV(?)
How have we managed not to post the incredible Nathalie Enterline on MoM before.
Previously mentioned here.
Above are 2 very similar routines to the same music, the JTV clip is better to watch but we can’t embed JTV clips.
We met Manne at the CJC in Rennes. Well, I didn’t, I met him a week later.
We think he rocks. With the way that he is combining juggling and breakdance, this guy is definitely one to watch.
Famous mime Marcel Marceau died yesterday at age 84.
From CNN:
Marceau died Saturday in Paris, French media reported.
Wearing white face paint, soft shoes and a battered hat topped with a red flower, Marceau, notably through his famed personnage Bip, played the entire range of human emotions onstage for more than 50 years, never uttering a word. Offstage, however, he was famously chatty. “Never get a mime talking. He won’t stop,” he once said.
A French Jew, Marceau survived the Holocaust — and also worked with the French Resistance to protect Jewish children.
His biggest inspiration was Charlie Chaplin. Marceau, in turn, inspired countless young performers — Michael Jackson borrowed his famous “moonwalk” from a Marceau sketch, “Walking Against the Wind.”
