Abbas Farid is a British Football Freestyler who’s won competitions and awards and that sort of thing, check out his website here: Abbasfarid.com for lots of info about that.

He does ace body rolling obviously, and integrates foot juggling, acrobatics and some amazing ball control that I’ve never seen before. He’s a bit good in other words. :D

This guy is like the guy that takes flowerstix as seriously as Marcus Furtner takes devilsticks. He’s so good at it, it doesn’t even seem possible.

Toss up and sides again

You know, Me and Drew were saying there weren’t any good videos coming out, and then like three come along at once… Time to eat our words.

This one is totes spesh. Shot by some guy with a sweet camera and edited by none other than Ori Roth. It’s exactly what you want out of a juggling video, a sweet cameraman with a good eye and then a juggler to edit it, since he knows all about the jugglings.

Featuring everyone you ever wanted to see doing club manipulation (Jordaan, Sander, Lestage (The juggler from Psy)) and then some ball juggling. Ball juggling by the likes of Stefan Sing (!). There is so much win on this video that the word win doesn’t contain enough win to describe it.

Directed and shot by Ben Hopper http://THEREALBenHopper Edited by Ori Roth http://www.youtube.com/Aiyegbeni

I totally schedules this for later, so if it gets posted up by someone else before. Not my problems. I was totes first.

A promo for a circus full of lumberjacks, er sorry, Canadians. All the guys have at least a level 4 beard and in general it’s awesome. It features much silliness and quite a few hardcore circus skills.

Boris Panfilenok Gentleman juggler

YouTube Preview Image

An old favourite juggling act style.

Dawn sent me this video of a really good performance of hat and multiple object manipulation.

Lovely character, lovely presentation, good fun… I loved it.

The comments say the following: Same act 30 years previous without the rings. Just shows that with constant practice age refines skill. Boris Panfilenok is in a class with the very best jugglers alive today, maybe the very best jugglers who have ever lived. The most impressive part of the act is how he never departs from his likable, but dated, character and carries on right through several drops. Great presentation skills. Would love to see a “modern” character do the same.

Enjoy!

Graceful display of pouring techniques from the Chatuchak Weekend Market in Thailand.

From youtube:

Watch in HD!!! Largest Market in Thailand that covers 35 acres which sits in the Bangkok metropolitan area. It contains upwards of 5,000 stalls and this is just one of them where these guys make great Thai iced tea…
*edit
In Malaysia its called Teh Tarik. I have been getting various emails from different people stating this practice of making tea like this is actually from Malaysia. Many locals when I visited this market just stated it was Thai iced tea, I appreciate everyone’s feedback on this

thanks my buddy Mark from Portland for the link ;) Mark is heading up for a visit to MADSKILLZ VANCOUVER happening next weekend. woot woot.

Breaking one of MoM’s golden rules with this post: No Chris de Burgh, but we really enjoyed watching this routine.
Nowadays you could name any object, add the word “freestyle”, a bit of cheesy music, a tuxedo/street wear and you’ll find somewhere in the world they’ll be a crew battlin’ it.
Readers suggestions please for the next “big” thing in freestyle manipulation:
We’re looking forward to next years world championship of Freestyle Teabag, and we hear that freestyle broomstick is sweeping the nation.

BrineChild’s Basic Contact Juggling Tutorials

Friday, May 13th, 2011
YouTube Preview Image

BrineChild’s hilariously awesome “basic” tutorial for the contact juggling butterfly has racked up 15k views on youtube, and left a lot of people confused and stranded. My favorite comments from youtube:

  • you are the least helpful video…you are giving a lesson on the first trick we should learn and then do all these other tricks that make it harder to learn because you have to learn to balance it on your head…very discouraging first try with contact juggling  mrunicycle13 3 weeks ago

  • @mrunicycle13 :D my videos are a metaphor for life. If you take it too seriously you may miss the point. (This comment is included in that metaphor) brinechild 2 weeks ago
