I’ve been searching for a way to address the recent death of Michael Jackson. He was the first performer to truly amaze and inspire me. This blog post by Ill Doctrine sifts through all the confusion surrounding this amazing life and relates it to our own modern youtube-obsessed culture.

Oddly appropriate… didn’t think I’d be down for one more MJ eulogy, but wound up watching through the whole thing. This guy really nails it: we can definitely see MJ as an icon of every artist’s ego conflict, and the lessons we learn from his life (and its aftermath) are indispensable.
