I originally saw CJ the same way a lot of people did, via Labrynth. I have long since been planning on learning the art of CJ but never got around to it. I saw the fushigi commercial and decided (finally) that I would learn. So I read the reviews for the fushigi, most of which were people complaining that the ball was "just a ball" or were overall negative so I figured I would not waste my money. So I went on eBay cause I figured (and I was right) that I could find alot of them on there from dissatisfied customers trying to get at least a little money back. I got my fushigi ball for $5.00 plus $4.00 shipping. So far it makes a great practice ball, however the chrome inner ball is not centered and has a slightly wavy surface that ruin the illusion. And it also has spots on the chrome surface of the ball as well. My suggestion to those who who are looking into learning CJ is go on eBay and find a cheap fushigi, don't bid higher that $5 (don't worry there are a LOT on there) if you lose bid on another. I have seen them as low as $.01. You will get it cheaper and faster that trying to buy from the original source and you will have a ball that you can drop, scratch, and generally beat up with no hesitation. That way you can practice without hesitation.

I got this from the TV commercial. It came UPS. I thought it would have an on off switch or something. It does not. As soon as I opened the box lid the thing came flying out and began circling the room. It hit the lamp over my kitchen table and broke the bulb, it then hit the wall and put a hole in that. I had to chase the thing upstairs and corner it in the bathroom. I was able catch it using the net for my fish tank. I thought I could just take the batteries out, but it seems like they are sealed inside the glass ball and they can’t be removed. I put it back in the box it came in and taped it shut. Later, I was sleeping on the sofa and somehow it managed to get out of the box and began flying around the room again. I woke up when the thing hit me on the back of the head. It then knocked over some dishes I had sitting on the counter. I called fushigi and they said it sounded like I may have done something wrong to the thing. They said I could return it for refund, minus the 11.99 shipping charge, but they would do nothing about the damage it did to my house. Fushigi is a nightmare!!!

I've seen the fushigi commercial, in part, a couple of times on late night. I thought it looked pretty cool and assumed it had a gyroscope inside. Today I was at Walgreens in the as-seen-on-tv aisle and saw they had these balls. I opened the box to check it out. It's a chrome ball inside of a clear plastic ball. There are no written instructions included. There is a dvd that it says you much watch to learn how to use the ball. I played with it for a few minutes and came to the conclusion that it's unlikely I would ever be able to do what they showed on tv. It's a rip off. I am glad to have found this site, though, as I've never heard of contact juggling. It's safe to assume nobody is going to do any cool tricks after playing with one of these balls for an hour. Thanks.
